Comments Policy

Bannable Offenses:

  1. No spam, trolling (comments that mean to cause controversy instead of facilitating conversations), or harassment. These things will result in an instant ban.

  2. Do not share your or anyone else’s personal information, including full names, addresses, contact information, or screenshots of private conversations.

  3. No bigotry or slurs will be tolerated. 

  4. We reserve the right to ban a commenter who is operating in bad faith or has malicious intent to any member of our team, any one of our volunteers, or any other member of the community.

General Policies:

Violating the policies below will result in up to two warnings before you are banned. This warning will be given by a comments moderator or by a member of the AUREA team. We reserve the right to ban before two warnings when a user is demonstrating bad faith or malicious intent.

  1. Any exclusionary or gatekeeping comments will be deleted and the user will receive a warning. While we are an aromantic-run site, we believe in the inclusion of all people so any form of exclusionism will not be tolerated.

  2. Commenters should leave a warning when discussing sensitive content, including self-harm, abuse, violence (including sexual violence), and other similar topics. Additionally, commenters should include warnings when posting not safe for work content.

  3. Avoid obscenity, including excessive swearing. 

  4. Comments should be focused on the article and topics relevant to it. 

  5. Feedback regarding  AUREA as a whole, or individual team members, should be directed towards our email: contact@aromanticism.org.

  6. Commenters shouldn’t try to enforce rules on their own or attack any individual in the comments. If you believe a comment to be violating AUREA’s comments policy, please report it to be dealt with by the comment moderation team.
