Aromantics Create(d) Pride 2021
Written by the AUREA team Word count: approx. 600 words
Estimated reading time: approx. 3 mins
Aromantics Create Pride originally began as a celebration for AUREA’s first birthday. We wanted to bring together our audience of creative minds and showcase their work. It went so wonderfully that we brought it back for Pride 2021 and with the way this one went you can look forward to seeing this event every year.
A total of fourteen people participated in this event and interacted with each other’s works. The works submitted were deep with thought and bursting from an overflow of originality. Now that the event has come to an end we can share the full list of participants. The list is organised by medium and has been marked with the relevant content warnings. Take a look and in spirit of the event, why not leave a comment?

We thank everyone who got involved and encourage you to leave comments on creative’s work when there’s something about it that you love. Showing appreciation and building connections are what make a community. If you’d like to see more of this, last year’s entries can be found HERE.
If you want to get more involved with aromantic art and creation, there are a number of active community members who run recurring events and projects that you can check out. The monthly Carnival of Aros event encourages discussions about aromanticism according to different themes, in whatever medium you choose. AroWriMo (Aromantic Writing Month) takes place every February, and Aggressively Arospec runs two recurring events revolving around both original and fan works. Aro Worlds and Allo Aro Worlds also share creative works by aromantic artists of many kinds. Finally, the Aromantic and Asexual Characters Database and the Aspec Journal regularly welcome new additions.
