Out and about?

It’s been awhile since we’ve used this section, but the time has come: we’ve got an in person event! The London Asexual & Aromantic Spectrum Meetup holds regulaur brunches most Sundays, quizzes are run over Zoom most weeks, and they’re open to more. If you’re in the London area and would like to meet some aros or organise an event, this is the group for you.

Aromantic and/or Asexual San Diego is a support and discussion group that would like to take part in San Diego's Pride 2022 parade. They have big plans to be unmissable. They want to march, run a booth, and much more that you can read about in their fundraiser. They’re halfway to their donation goal and the results will be priceless.

Aro Ace on the Allusionist by Helen Zaltzman

The word 'asexual' has been used by humans describing themselves for several decades; 'aromantic' is newer. Both words enable people to voice identities that were unacknowledged for centuries, to find each other and build communities together, and to provide counternarratives to what the allosexuals are pushing.

Lewis Brown is a writer and poet; and also an AUREA representative! Go have a listen to this podcast discussion on the history and use of 'asexual' and 'aromantic'.

Check out The Aro Zine created by Zero. This collection of stories and poems is a community run project that brings together aros in all the ways you could want. And it’s totally free!
