Are you online?
Interested in finding out the size, shape, and scope of our community? Here at AUREA we’ve put together an Aro Census to find out just that. Click the link to tell us about yourself and sometime in the future, once we sort out the responses, we’ll be returning with an in-depth analysis of the results. What are you most interested to find out?
Despite the recent scare Arocalypse has a new lease on life and is under new management! For all intents and purposes everything will remain the same for the user base of the forums. The new admin is looking for volunteers to expand their capabilities, specifically for moderators to help maintain the forums friendly atmosphere. If you'd like to apply PM Momo of the Arocalypse admin for more information. In the coming week a place for donations will be set up for the future so keep an eye out for that. There are so few places that are for aros alone and seeing Arocalypse survive on with a rally cry of support is a brilliant thing. If you haven’t yet signed up, why not head on over?
It has been noted that the invisibility of our community is so extensive that we don’t even have a Wikipedia page. On a much brighter note plans are in the works to change that! This thread has been put together to collect volunteers and information on how to go about establishing ourselves on this cultural map. If you’re interested in taking part it's as simple as dropping them a comment.
Starting next week is the Aro-spec Artists Showcase on tumblr. Submit your art for some loving and boosting. More information can be found here.

It isn’t all bad news for our in-person groups however. Asexuales & Arromántiques Chile have updated their logo to better include aromantics who aren’t asexual.
Aros in the media
Fan-favourite Peridot, of the TV series Steven Universe, has been confirmed as aroace by one of the storyboard artists. While it was never said explicitly in the show many of the fan are delighted to have this piece of subtext stated so plainly.
Interested in aromantic love stories? What does an aromantic love story entail? What does that look like to you? A call for aro visibility has been put out looking for people’s thoughts on the subject and perhaps those thoughts will become a story down the line.

One of the performers, Donutella Tasti, is the president of the university’s Asexual Aromantic Alliance. What fantastic causes to devote your passions to.
